Manchester United travel to Odessa in the Ukraine on Thursday night to take on Zorya Luhansk in the Europa League. Having destroyed Feyenoord 4-0 in their last EL game, United only need a point to progress. Considering they’ve been so prolific when it comes to drawing of late, we can’t imagine they’ll have any trouble booking their passage through to the next round.
United can even afford to lose if Feyenoord fail to beat Fenerbahce.
With United facing Spurs on Sunday, Jose Mourinho is bound to make a series of changes to his side. That team might include Marouane Fellaini despite his misdemeanour at the weekend. But with the afro-sporting enforcer playing too poorly to be included against Tottenham, this could be the perfect game for him to get back into the good books of United fans.
With the news that Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin could be off to Everton in January, it doesn’t make a ton of sense to play them. Timothy Fosu-Mensah could make a rare appearance while Bastian Schweinsteiger isn’t registered to play in Europe. We can imagine that whoever plays the full ninety minutes in Europe is unlikely to start on Sunday.
Zorya have failed to win any of their last six games in all competitions.
Zorya predicted XI: 1 Shevchenko, Yarmash, Sivakov, Opanasenko, Sobol, Ljubenovic, Grechyshkin, Petryak, Kharatin, Karavaev, Bezborodko
Man United predicted XI: Romero, Darmian, Fosu-Mensah, Blind, Young, Fellaini, Carrick, Lingard, Mata, Rashford, Rooney
