Tottenham face their third top six opponent in as many games in perhaps the biggest game of the season for them to date. Mauricio Pochettino’s men welcome Arsenal to Wembley with just one thing on their minds: revenge.

Spurs headed to the Emirates Stadium for the first meeting back in November but were surprisingly beaten. A lot has changed since, though, and with the Gunners not travelling well lately, Pochettino may well sense an opportunity. From Arsene Wenger’s point of view, it will be a vital first taste of this huge fixture for both new signings Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

It is tough to see a repeat result, with recent losses to Bournemouth and Swansea on the road still fresh in Arsenal’s minds. We are backing a Tottenham win, spearheaded by the in-form Harry Kane.

Although Spurs were arguably a little fortunate to secure a late point at Liverpool on Sunday, there was nothing lucky about the way they dismantled Manchester United last week. They are just two points outside the top four and with this game kicking off earlier than the rest, a win would put a real marker down for their rivals.

Arsenal are not quite out of the race for Champions League football, but defeat here would possibly constitute a knockout blow. Their form has been rather mixed of late, with those away losses being balanced by emphatic home victories over Crystal Palace and, most recently, Everton.

Team News

Tottenham are close to welcoming back Toby Alderweireld from a long-term injury, but this game could come too soon; Lucas Moura could be in line for his debut. Arsenal have no fresh concerns to report.
