Liverpool travel to Swansea on Monday night still very much riding the wave of their huge win over Manchester City last weekend. The 4-3 victory showcased the best of Jurgen Klopp’s men, who kept attacking and showcased their quality even without Philippe Coutinho, who joined Barcelona earlier in the season.
Mohamed Salah netted his 24th goal of the season in all competitions against City, and Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane are also in good form too. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain really deserved his goal, too. Swansea have impressed under Carlos Carvahal, taking four points from three Premier League games, but they remain rock bottom and they may struggle to contain the Reds here.

Even before the City game, Liverpool were in great form, having scored 16 goals in five games prior, including five against Swansea at Anfield just after Christmas. The Reds are still well in the race for the Champions League, and will hope to continue their unbeaten run, which has been going since late October, at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea, as mentioned above, have earned four points from their three league games under Carvahal. They also face Championship leaders Wolves in an FA Cup third round replay this week; but the Portuguese’s job to keep the Welsh club up is looking tougher by the week.
Tammy Abraham remains a doubt for this game for Swansea having sat out the draw with Newcastle last week, but Ki will start having played such a key role at St James’ Park.
Klopp will hope to welcome record signing Virgil van Dijk back to the side and give him his Premier League debut after he was forced to miss the City clash.
