The surprise package of the Bundesliga season, Eintracht Frankfurt take on Stuttgart this weekend – and fans will be pleased that it takes place on a Saturday.
CORAL HAVE YOU COVERED
Their Monday match-up with RB Leipzig was marred (if that’s not too dramatic a description) by a half-time protest from fans who peppered the pitch with tennis balls. While Frankfurt supporters made it clear that they didn’t like the fixture schedule, they couldn’t have complained about the result of the game.
Two goals before the half-hour saw them beat Leipzig, rivals in their hunt for a Champions League place, 2-1. Kevin-Prince Boateng was among the goals. The former Portsmouth attacker has led one of the most interesting careers in modern football, journeying between the biggest leagues in Europe on almost a yearly basis. His career has consisted of nine transfers, two of which were to AC Milan. He’s a big reason for Frankfurt’s Champions League push but probably won’t stick around should they achieve their aims of qualifying for the competition.
TAKE THIS FROM WILLIAM HILL!
Stuttgart are battling at the other end of the table. Currently 13th in the table, they’re four points clear of the relegation zone. The main reason behind that gap is their home form. Stuttgart have picked up some notable wins at the Mercedes-Benz Arena. Borussia Dortmund, Monchengladbach and Mainz have all suffered defeats there. This will be a real test for Frankfurt and we can see a hotly-contested clash with plenty of goals.
