Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City machine has shown cracks in recent matches. Sure, they’re still unbeaten after a goal-fest at Celtic Park. While that is a tough ground to play at, conceding three goals against the Scottish champions isn’t the strongest sign of invincibility.
City’s last visit to White Hart Lane really kickstarted the Pochettino revolution at Spurs. Harry Kane and co. destroyed the visitors 4-1. But that was under Manuel Pellegrini. City were a more disposable outfit when he was at the helm. There won’t be a repeat scoreline.
Spurs were lucky to get a draw against Liverpool a couple of weeks ago but they are capable of going toe to toe with the big guns. Guardiola’s unbeaten streak could be in genuine danger this Sunday. We know Tottenham are going to go for it anyway. It should be fascinating.
