Spurs will be buzzing after ruining Pep Guardiola’s perfect start to domestic life at Manchester City. A seriously impressive display before the international break saw Mauricio Pochettino’s men win 2-0 – and it could have been more. As well as a penalty miss, Spurs had plenty of chances to add to their tally, spooking the league leaders into mistakes with their pressing.

Perhaps this test won’t truly happen until the business end of the season, but a trip to the Hawthorns represents an opportunity to conquer demons. Spurs were breathing down Leicester necks towards the finish line of last season’s title race before tripping up in spectacular fashion. That downfall started with a 1-1 draw against the Baggies. Time for revenge.
