Poland vs Chile preview, betting tips and prediction
Poland have Russia in their sights
Poland to win and BTTS @ 10/3 with Betfair
Poland and Chile meet for the former’s final World Cup warm up game before heading off for the start of action in Russia next week. With Robert Lewandowski coming off a superb season in the Bundesliga, which yielded 29 goals and over 40 in all competitions, Poland have a real chance of surprising a few people this summer. Lewandowski has been far from happy at Bayern for some time and looks set to leave Bavaria this summer.

Real Madrid were believed to be favourites to sign him in the off-season, but the speculation has died down in recent weeks after a poor performance against them in the Champions League semi final and Zinedine Zidane’s resignation as coach. Alongside Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik, who has struggled with injuries recently, he gives Poland a real threat. Grzegorz Krychowiak has had a poor season at West Brom but balances the midfield alongside Milik’s clubmate Piotr Zielinski. Wojciech Szcezesny and, if fit, Kamil Glik, complete a strong spine to their side. They will take on Colombia, quarter finalists last time out, Japan and Senegal in the group stage.
Chile, rather surprisingly, failed to qualify for the World Cup. It has been a rapid fall from grace, having lifted the last two Copa Americas, but for the likes of Alexis Sanchez, who has had international commitments every summer since the tournament in 2014 but will not feature in this game. We think Poland will win this but there could be goals.
With so much attacking quality on show, especially for Poland, it seems right to back a lot of goals. The obvious players to back when it comes to scoring anytime is Lewandowski, but he is odds on at 10/11 with Betfair. Milik is a more valuable option at 2/1, while for Nicolas Castillo is a good bet at 23/10.
