Leicester City travel to Premier League champions-elect Manchester City on Saturday evening and it looks as though their star man, Riyad Mahrez, will be absent once again. At one stage last week, it looked like he would be lining up for the hosts in this one, but a deal to take him to the Etihad Stadium fell through at the last minute. Unhappy at the situation, Mahrez has not trained with the Foxrs since, and if he doesn’t play it will severely reduce their threat in the game.

As for Man City, they will be looking to bounce back from a rare game without a win. They have now not tasted victory in their last three away games, but Burnley became only the fourth team to take points from them this season last week. Raheem Sterling missed a golden opportunity at Turf Moor, but with 19 goals to his name this season, he will be hungry to return to his scoring ways. We think he will in this one.

Leicester are safe in mid table, so it was probably a good time to allow Mahrez to leave. Since he has been absent, they have failed to win in two games, losing at Everton and then drawing at home to Swansea.

As mentioned above, City haven’t won away for three games but they still have a 13-point lead atop the Premier League and have won every home game since August.

Team News

Leicester have no fresh injury concerns, while Manchester City will likely start in a similar way to the Burnley game, without either of the injured Leroy Sane or Gabriel Jesus.
