Germany vs Brazil preview, betting tips and prediction: Selecao in for huge test of World Cup credentials without Neymar
Germany and over 2.5 goals with Coral
Many people forecast a return to past glories for Brazil at the World Cup in Russisa this summer and their coach, Tite, has certainly reinvigorated the five time winners’ fortunes over the past couple of years. The Selecao eased to top spot in the South American regional qualifiers and, with Neymar at the forefront of their push for a sixth World Cup title, they really do have a great chance. But they are pitting themselves up against a great challenge on Tuesday evening, with Germany, current world champions and the side who humiliated Brazil in the semi final of their own tournament four years ago, providing the opposition. What makes it worse, too, is the fact Neymar has been forced out of the game by injury; but he should return for the finals.
TAKE THIS FROM CORAL!
Germany face Spain before this game, which takes place in Berlin, while Brazil g up against this year’s World Cup hosts, Russia. Both Tite and Joachim Loew may take this opportunity to experiment with their sides, but victory really could stand them in good stead heading into the summer. We are favouring the hosts, though, with Brazil missing their talisman.
This preview is being written before Germany and Brazil face their next opponents, but Die Mannschaft could scarcely be in better shape at the moment. They won all ten games in qualifying as well as the Confederations Cup last summer, scoring 26 goals in their last seven games.
Brazil, meanwhile, eased through to World Cup qualification and have not lost in well over a year.
Mario Goetze and Marco Reus are among some big names who may not make the World Cup having not been included in this squad by Germany.
In-form Chelsea star Willian and Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus will attempt to fill the void left by Neymar.
