Chelsea have struggled for goals in recent weeks and, at the time of writing, have not scored any in their last three games. A trio of 0-0 draws in the FA Cup, hence Wednesday night’s replay with Norwich City at Stamford Bridge, in the Carabao Cup semi final against Arsenal and in the Premier League against Leicester have piled the pressure on Antonio Conte.

But the Chelsea boss will be pleased to be facing a Brighton side who are not exactly prolific themselves. The Seagulls have only scored 17 goals this term, the lowest amount outside the bottom three and second fewest in the division all together. It is about time Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata found form again, but we think they will at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.
As a result of Chelsea’s shot-shy forwards, they have not been in the best shape to take advantage of some of Manchester United’s struggles and take a grip of second place. But they have remained strong in defence and have not lost since suffering defeat at West Ham at the beginning of December.

Brighton have managed to avoid any serious relegation threat so far but they are are slipping towards trouble as the season runs on. Their lack of goals is becoming a real issue and they became the first Premier League side to be beaten by West Brom since August last time out.
Former Chelsea midfielder Steve Sidwell is the only player unavailable to Chris Hughton, who can otherwise name a strong side against the Blues.
Andreas Christensen is fully expected to return to the Chelsea side after missing last week’s draw with Leicester.
