Borussia Dortmund vs Eintracht Frankfurt preview, betting tips and prediction: Dortmund to grab much-needed home win

Initially viewed as a stop-gap solution, Peter Stoger is looking increasingly likely to stay on as Borussia Dortmund manager beyond the summer after transforming the fortunes of the previously-ailing side. Before Stoger took over, Dortmund were leaky and generally fragile. The low point of their season saw them lose a four-goal lead in the derby against Schalke. Now they’re a side transformed. Combative and unlikely to wilt under pressure.
TAKE THIS FROM BETWAY!
Under Stöger, Dortmund have only conceded eight goals in 10 Bundesliga games. It isn’t just the defence shining at Dortmund. The attackers are lighting up the Bundesliga. Michy Batshuayi made an immediate impact upon arrival from Chelsea while Marco Reus has also looked like a new signing since returning from injury.
The Germany international is arguably the form player in the Bundesliga, having scored in each of his last three appearances. After so long on the sidelines, Reus has the look of a man who wants to make up for lost time. He now has less than 18 months left on his contract and clubs are being reminded of what Reus is capable of. However, it would be a massive shock to see him leave Dortmund after the club supported him during his injury hell. It’s probably not Reus’s main concern for the time being.
LADBROKES HAVE YOU COVERED!
The immediate priority is beating Eintracht Frankfurt, the surprise Champions League chasers who visit BVB this weekend. They picked up a fourth straight home win last weekend when they edged past Hannover thanks to a Danny da Costa strike.
We expect a slightly cagey opening but for the clash to become quite an open affair after the deadlock is broken.
