With the backing of Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing USA and streaming platform DAZN, this rematch between KSI and Logan Paul is set to rake in the cash as fans across the world tune in to see their favourite celebrities go toe-to-toe again.
YouTube sensations KSI (Olajide William Olatunji) and Logan Paul are set to embark on a rematch of their 2018 boxing match.
The fight lands on Saturday 9th November.
The Staples Center, Los Angeles, USA, will host the fight.
The self-titled “Nightmare” and the “Maverick” face off for the second time in November following their majority draw last August in Manchester.
In a fight that was billed as being for the “YouTube Boxing Championship Title”, one judge scored the bout 58-57 to KSI whereas the other two couldn’t split them with a 57-57 draw.
Raking in over 2.25 million viewers live, the bout claimed an estimated $11 million in pay-per-view buys, with a sold out attendance of 21,000 pulling in $3.5 million on the gate.
Having being frustrated with the result, both stars agreed to the rematch this fall, with many locations including Dubai and New York being considered – they eventually settled for the Staples Center.
Two press conferences in L.A and London got the pulses racing ahead of this highly anticipated rematch, with armies of loyal supporters and subscribers turning up to cheer for their hero.
Now claiming to have had a full boxing camp under the tutelage of heavyweight veteran Shannon Briggs, Logan Paul claims he “knows how to box now,” citing that as the difference-maker come November 9th.
KSI, on the other hand, is relishing the opportunity to get his hands on Paul again without head guards claiming that this time he will “end” the American. The Briton has been exuding confidence upon the announcement that 10oz gloves will be used, with this rematch expected to be a huge improvement in quality from the first.
The bookies couldn’t split these two a couple of months ago, but with the improvement in the shape of Paul and the backing of a boxing heavyweight in his corner, the American has come in at a best price of 8/13 @ UniBet.
KSI faired better in the first fight, and with a 7/4 price at BetFred, the Briton holds good value.
