West Ham in talks for former Premier League hitman
West Ham have begun talks to bring Javier Hernandez back to the Premier League this summer, per the Daily Mirror.
Hernandez, 29, spent four years at Manchester United before moving to the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen in 2015.
The Mexican has continued to show he is among the best finishers in the world, but he could be available for as little as £13million.
The Hammers are also reportedly interested in Arsenal’x Olivier Giroud, as Slaven Bilic looks to strengthen his squad ahead of next season.
A number of clubs, particularly in the Premier League, could follow West Ham in looking to sign Hernandez thanks to the prolific form he showed when last in England.
Villarreal’s Cedric Bakambu and Cologne’s Anthony Modeste are also targets, the Mirror claims.
