West Ham agreed £20m deal to sign Andre Ayew: Swansea City forward to make Hammers switchPublished August 07, 2016
West Ham are closing in on a £20m deal to sign Swansea City forward Andre Ayew according to the BBC Sport.
The Hammers are keen to beef up their attack ahead of the upcoming campaign and are buoyed by the financial boost resulting from their move to the Olympic Stadium.
Slaven Bilic has already brought in Ashley Fletcher, midfielder Havard Nordtveit, and wingers Sofiane Feghouli and Gokhan Tore this summer and will see Ayew as an ideal attacking option to give his side real guile in the final third.
Currently Bilic uses the likes of Andy Carroll or Diafra Sakho to lead the line whereas Ayew is a smarter, more versatile, stylish forward to call upon.
The former Marseille man netted 12 Premier League goals in his debut campaign, including efforts against Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham and Liverpool
