Wenger Sends Amazing Message To Sir Alex Ferguson In Goodbye Speech
Arsene Wenger once again showed his class on Sunday when, before addressing the Arsenal fans in his farewell speech, he wished Sir Alex Ferguson well in his recovery from surgery.
Wenger is leaving the Gunners after 22 years and he oversaw his final game at the Emirates Stadium, a 5-0 win over Burnley, on Sunday afternoon.
But before he waxed lyrical about the club he now claims to be a fan of, Wenger took a moment to mention his friend and former rival, who is in hospital after suffering a bleed on the brain over the weekend.
“Firstly, because at Arsenal we care, we would like to wish Sir Alex Ferguson to get well very quickly.”
