Arsene Wenger has made sure to lavish praise on new signings Henrik Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, after both shone in their win over Everton.
While Sam Allardyce’s side were woeful, there’s no denying Mkhitaryan put in a Man of the Match performance, and new forward Auba got off the mark as well.
The win gave Arsenal three points they needed in order to keep up with the chasing pack in terms of the top four, and it seemed that the Arsenal boss felt it could be the start of something brilliant for the Gunners.
Wenger said the duo look like they’ve been at the club for years – and was full of praise for his side.
Standard Sport report he said: “In the first half we were quick, mobile, technically very sharp and we finished very well as well.

“The two players [Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan] integrated well [into] our game and looked like they had played with us forever. They have similar qualities to what our game is about.
“They are technically good, quick and overall it was a convincing performance.”
He was thrilled with Mkhitaryan, and said: “He didn’t play at Manchester United so I was not too surprised [they let him leave].
“They got one more player who plays in a similar position with Sanchez.
“I’m not responsible for Manchester’s decisions. Arsenal’s are enough for me. They had their reasons. They got a world-class player with Sanchez, that certainly obstructed the possibilities to play for [Mkhitaryan].
“There are some good debuts, I don’t know if that is better. The only thing I can say is it’s a convincing debut that shows he has the level to play with us.”
