Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand admits he still has nightmares about facing Chelsea’s Eden Hazard over two years after he retired from playing.
Hazard is back to his best for the Blues after suffering from injuries earlier in the campaign.
He netted twice in a victory over Newcastle last Saturday before equalising to ensure Chelsea progressed against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League this week.
Speaking on BT Sport’s coverage of the competition, for former England international and Premier League winner turned pundit said he never enjoyed facing the Belgian and called it a “blessing” that he always stayed out wide at that time under Jose Mourinho.

Now, though, his game has evolved and he has a free role under Antonio Conte, something Ferdinand wasn’t sure he could have handled in the latter stages of his career.
After finishing second in their group behind Roma, Chelsea will expect a tough draw on Monday. But with Hazard in full swing, they won’t fear anyone.
