Manchester City players couldn’t resist a dig at rivals Manchester United after they stretched their lead at the top of the Premier League to 14 points with victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday night.
Pep Guardiola’s side ran out 4-1 winners thanks to goals from Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin de Bruyne and a late brace from Raheem Sterling. The result all meant City stood alone as the record holders for the longest winning run in English football, 16 games.
Celebrating victories has got their players into a little bit of trouble lately, notably after last week’s Manchester Derby, but that didn’t stop them having a joke at the expense of United or their manager Manchester United.
