VIDEO: Spanish Police Attack Chelsea Fans Before Barcelona Defeat
Following Chelsea’s Champions League exit at the hands of Barcelona on Wednesday night, footage has emerged showing Spanish police attacking Blues fans.
Over 4,000 fans at Camp Nou backed the Premier League champions, who were all hoping to see a repeat result of the 2012 semi final, which they won on the way to lifting the trophy.
But two goals from Lionel Messi and another by Ousmane Dembele ensured that wouldn’t happen on another night that the Argentine magician reminded everyone of his supreme talent.
The game was then overshadowed by reports of violent clashes between visiting fans and police before kick off, with footage suggesting it got rather unpleasant.
Chelsea had released a statement asking any fans who had been affected to step forward.
On the pitch, Chelsea now take on Leicester in the FA Cup quarter final on Sunday, with their last hope of winning a trophy this season.
