VIDEO: Sensational Casemiro volley puts Real Madrid a step closer to Champions League quarter-finalsPublished February 15, 2017
Casemiro’s brilliant volley from distance handed Real Madrid a 3-1 advantage in their Champions League last-16 tie with Napoli.
The Brazilian’s exceptional strike gave Zinedine Zidane’s side a two-goal cushion against their dangerous Italian opponents ahead of a dauting trip to the Stadio San Paolo for the return leg.
With 55 minutes on the clock, James Rodriguez’s run was halted on the edge of the Napoli box, but the clearance looped up invitingly for the Brazilian, who smashed the ball on the volley into the far corner.

Lorenzo Insigne’s goal had given the visitors a shock early lead, only for Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos to overturn the Serie A team’s advantage with strikes either side of half-time.
The two clubs will meet again in Naples on March 7.
