Prior to the game, Argentina were in real trouble going into their World Cup qualifier against Colombia on Tuesday night having lost to Brazil last week and sitting in 6th in the South American qualification table.

However, Messi then turned on the magic against Colombia, scoring with a stunning free-kick 10 minutes into the game to put his side in-front.

He then set up Lucas Pratto for a headed goal with an inch perfect cross, and also assisted Angel Di Maria’s goal with a squared pass with 6 minutes remaining in the game.

It was certainly a night to remember for Messi and one that he will be very proud of.
