VIDEO: Arsene Wenger refuses to talk about Jose Mourinho ahead of Man United v Arsenal clash
When speaking with Geoff Shreeves ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Manchester United on Saturday, Arsene Wenger refused to talk about his rivarly with opposition boss, Jose Mourinho.
Of course, it is no secret that Wenger and Mourinho aren’t the best of friends.
The pair have fell out on the touchline on numerous occasions over the years and Mourinho has even called Wenger a ‘specialist in failure’ during his time in the Premier League.
However, Arsene Wenger has refused to spark any sort of controversy ahead of Arsenal’s game against Manchester United this weekend, and has instead stated that what is important is the result and the quality of the game, not the controversy off the pitch.
Wenger said he forgets all of the controversy almost immediately after the match but says the result, especially if it’s a disappointing one, sticks with him for a while.
He then gave former-Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson as an example, stating that the two never got along when their respective sides faced each other but are good friends today.
He said that he is happy to see Ferguson these days and often shares a glass of red wine with the former United boss when he does (much like Mourinho).
