Benfica defender Victor Lindelof has been linked with Manchester United for several months and it looks as though we finally have confirmation of the Premier League club’s interest. The Swedish international’s agent Hasan Cetinkaya gave Fotbollskanalen a hint during a recent interview with Swedish sports site.
Cetinkaya said: “I don’t want to comment on various clubs but there is concrete interest from some of the biggest in Europe. ‘Vigge’ really enjoys it at Benfica, at the same time, as I have said before, there is no smoke without fire when it comes to that many clubs are interested in him, but Victor is focused on Benfica.”
The centre-half is one of Europe’s fastest-rising stars. The 22-year-old cemented his place in the Benfica first team last season and is now the target of some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including United.
