Currently without a club following the expiration of his contract with Crystal Palace, Emmanuel Adebayor seems to have few worries over his future, if his latest Instagram post is anything to go by.
A significant goalscorer for club and country over a number of years, the ex-Arsenal and Manchester City man has been unattached since leaving Selhurst Park over the summer, but recently showed off his new Rolls Royce on social media.
The 32-year-old striker is seen posing on top of the customised grey and gold Rolls Phantom Drophead Coupe, which is believed to have a value of around £360,000 and which features the number plate ‘0004 SEA’ in reference to his international shirt number.
Sat upright on the luxury vehicle with his finger raised to his lip in a call for silence, the African star also chose to send a personal message to those who follow his account.
And bizarrely, for someone publishing such an extravagant image, Adebayor captioned the post with the following: “SEA, silence is very accurate.”
A strange message to his circa 700,000 followers, who will no doubt be slightly confused after a palpable display of wealth.
Over his career, the forward has struck over 200 goals for national team Togo and a host of top sides.
It remains to be seen if new club will come in for him following the breakdown over his move to Lyon during the close season but either way, the image probably confirms we shouldn’t worry too much about his financial situation in any case.
