Tottenham striker to undergo scan after injuring ankle in FA Cup clash
Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane will have a scan on Monday to determine the seriousness of his ankle injury after he twisted it against Millwall on Sunday, per Sky.
Spurs may have demolished the League One side with a 6-0 win at in the FA Cup quarter final at White Hart Lane, but it came at a cost as Kane was forced off in the first ten minutes.
The 19-goal striker has been in amazing form this term, but this injury could put his chances of making the England squad this month.
It appears to be the same injury as the one which kept him out for two months earlier in the campaign, but Pochettino remains coy on the impact.
“He twisted his ankle in the same way as before, it was the same ankle he injured in the game against Sunderland,” Pochettino said.
“Now we have to wait, we will assess it tomorrow. It’s difficult. We hope it’s not a big issue but it looks a similar situation as his previous injury. We hope it’s not a big issue. I’m sure it will be difficult to play against Southampton next weekend.
“Of course I’m sad about Harry’s injury but we have to find a solution. When you lose a player like Harry you will miss him. Harry is one of the best strikers in England but we can’t cry.”
