Tottenham make improved offer for Crystal Palace winger Wilfred Zaha, player desperate for movePublished August 30, 2016
Spurs are preparing a second bid for Crystal Palace winger Zaha, in a bid to push through a deal by Wednesday’s transfer deadline, after having an initial £12m offer rejected on Thursday.
Various media publications on Tuesday claim that the North London side have not given up hope of signing the wide forward despite Palace chairman Steve Parish insisting he will not leave this summer.
Spurs have offered to double Zaha’s wages to £70,000-a-week in an attempt to reach an agreement with the player should Palace cave in to what will be an improved offer to Palace in the coming days.
It’s well known that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to add to his squad this week, and it’s believed that the Tottenham hierarchy are prepared to pay around £20m to land the 23-year-old.
It’s set to be an intriguing last couple of days at White Hart Lane.
