Tottenham Hotspur target out for three months putting switch in doubt
Everton midfielder Ross Barkley requires surgery on a torn hamstring.
The recovery could take up to three months, putting Barkley’s supposed switch to Tottenham Hotspur in doubt.
Barkley tore his hamstring in training on Monday. Scans revealed a grade three tear on the muscle.
The player is waiting on more texts to confirm the full extent of the damage, but the Daily Mail believe an operation is expected to be recommended.
Ronald Koeman said: “He stopped training last Monday, it looks like the hamstring.
“But we need to do more tests to know exactly what the injury is.”
Everton want £50 million for the England international, but Spurs had baulked at paying that much and Chelsea also considered a move for the 21-year-old, too.
