With a number of young talents impressing in the current campaign it seems an opportune time to list the best players under the age of 21 currently plying their trade in the English top tier.


Ten. Reece Oxford (West Ham)

Still just 17 years of age this young battler is already the subject of growing interest from the Premier League ‘big boys’ and has already made 14 appearances for the Hammers.



Nine. Demarai Gray (Leicester City)

Had a frightening level of potential and his awesome second half strike against Manchester United shows just what the winger is already capable of.


Eight. Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Chelsea)

The 20-year-old is already into his third season in the Blues first team. Yes the midfielder will struggle to make in-roads into Antonio Conte’s first XI but the England Under 21 international has what it takes to make it.

Seven. Marko Grujić (Liverpool)

The big Serbian international is already a fan favourite at Anfield and a very promising prospect for Jurgen Klopp to groom.


6. Alex Iwobi (Arsenal)

Young Nigerian midfield talent has burst onto the scene and his superb form has led to top talents being left bench-warming. Already a massive hit with Gunners fans.


Five. Leroy Sane (Manchester City)

Pep Guardiola’s new addition is the real deal, a player of outstanding potential who is sure to be a key member of the Spaniard’s first-team set-up for years to come.

Four. Marcus Rashford (Manchester United)

The teenage forward has been lethal over the past year or so. Netting on his debut for club and country and continuing to mature into a hugely effective forward.


Three. Kelechi Iheanacho (Manchester City)

The Etihad Stadium man barely misses when in front of goal and his efforts have even overshadowed Rashford, the Nigerian already has 17 Man City goals to his name despite having started just 14 fixtures.

Zlatan Martial

Two. Anthony Martial (Manchester United)

The Frenchman cost a massive sum but has already proven a value for money purchase. The former AS Monaco man scored 15 goals last season and will learn alot from Zlatan Ibrahimovic.


One. Dele Alli (Tottenham)

The 20-year-old White Hart Lane star comes top of this pile. Last term, his first full Premier League campaign, saw the former MK Dons man rack up ten goals and nine assists and the midfield sensation is now a regular in the England national team set-up.
