Ronaldinho in line for shock move to European heavyweights
Barcelona are preparing a shock move to bring a club legend back to the Nou Camp. The Catalan giants are looking to replace Ousmane Dembele after he ruptured a tendon in Saturday’s win at Getafe.
The Blaugrana have seen their £96 million record signing sidelined for the next four months, and the club are now pursuing a suitable replacement for the attack. Ronaldinho has been linked with a massive return, reuniting the 37-year-old superstar with the Spanish giants.
The Brazilian icon is currently part of Barcelona’s Legends squad, and a fan favourite after his successful five-year spell between 2003-2008. He delivered two La Liga titles, two Super Cup trophies, a Champions League crown and was named World Player of the Year twice.

Ronaldinho was mentioned on the shortlist alongside Antonio Cassano, Jose Antonio Reyes, Diego Capel, Mark Gonzalez and Diego Forlan as potential free agents to join the Spanish giants. While the World Cup winner never officially retired, he’s still remembered for his individual brilliance with the ball and scoring ability.
The question remains whether he has what it takes to play at the highest level again. He’s believed to have severely declined in recent years due to his much publicised partying lifestyle and lack of training.
No matter the case of his ability today, fans would be ecstatic to have the chance to see their hero put on the Barcelona kit once again.
