The Milan Derby certainly lived up to the hype on Sunday evening, with Inter going top of Serie A with a win over AC Milan at San Siro. Antonio Conte’s men came from behind in stunning fashion to secure a 4-2 victory, and leapfrogged Juventus after they were stunned at Hellas Verona on Saturday. Romelu Lukaku clinched the three points and after a pulsating encounter, he took to Twitter and appeared to mock his former Manchester United teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who scored earlier in the game for the Rossoneri.

His celebration, taking his shirt off and waving it on the corner flag, made for an iconic photograph. But it was the Belgian’s reaction on social media which really got people talking. Though Ibrahimovic wasn’t mentioned, the caption suggesting “there is a new king in town” has been taken as a cryptic dig at a man not afraid to say that he is the true boss in Milan.
Conte’s men have really shown why they are the most favoured team to end Juve’s eight-year monopoly on Serie A. Lukaku and his strike partner Lautaro Martínez have grabbed most of the headlines, but an influx of Premier League players has helped their cause. Christian Eriksen, Ashley Young and Victor Moses joined Lukaku and Alexi Sanchez in January.
