Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich could sell the club after his asking price was revealed today, said to be in the region of £2.5billion.
The Russian has been linked with selling the club over the past few months because of supposed Visa issues and now that a figure has been released, that could well go ahead.
The clubs redevelopment of Stamford Bridge has also been stuck on hold and that could be another indicator that Abramovich is potentially looking to sell the club.
The supposed asking price of £2.5billion comes from the Times on Monday morning who explain ‘Roman Abramovich will demand an offer of at least £2.5 billion to consider selling Chelsea.’

They go on to explain that while he is not actively looking to sell the club, he could be tempted if someone was to match that figure.
That valuation would put Chelsea as supposedly the second most expensive club in England, behind Manchester United with a valuation of £3.2bn.
While everything is looking uncertain off the field, it is very much the case on it.
Maurizio Sarri has a 100% record after the win against Newcastle on Sunday and the club are well in the race for the Premier League trophy this season.
Whether that could see Abramovich sell up we won’t know until the summer but there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding Chelsea right now.
