Paul Pogba is a player known for flamboyance on and off the pitch, but he was considerably more reserved when helping win the World Cup with France this summer, and how he has explained why.
Pogba has been heavily criticised for some of his performances in the Premier League since returning to Manchester United from Juventus in 2016. Some pundits believe he is too focused on his image and doesn’t pay enough attention to his football.
But in answer to an Instagram question, Pogba suggested he wanted to prove his head was in the right place this summer, and he certainly did that.
“Because I wanted peace to be only focus on my performance and not my look so there is no excuse they could only criticise the football part.”

The United midfielder scored in the final against Croatia and will return to training in the next few days hoping to impress Jose Mourinho, who he has not always seen eye to eye with at Old Trafford.
