Revealed: The only reason Paul Pogba as at Man United

Manchester United are lucky to have Paul Pogba – or so the player believes, according to pundit Tony Cascarino, who thinks that the player is under the impression he’s doing United a favour by playing for them.

It comes on the back of another loss for United, who have now been defeated away from home by all three promoted sides this season – a treble Jose Mourinho will not want, and more criticism of Pogba.

Big changes are expected at Old Trafford this summer, and the pundit thinks that Mourinho is not happy with Pogba – in fact, far from it.

He spoke with TalkSport and said: “He’s got this swagger when he plays and I do believe he has a feeling like he’s doing Manchester United a favour by being at Old Trafford.

“We’re not privy to what goes on on a day-to-day basis at Old Trafford and at Carrington on the training ground.

“But what we’re pretty sure of is that Jose Mourinho isn’t happy with him.”

However, Pogba has certainly been bullish in the face of criticism, saying to Sky Sports: “It’s quite funny because we don’t judge me on the midfield part.

“We judge me on assists and goals and that’s the truth.

“I can make an outstanding game, but if I don’t score or make an assist they will say, ‘that is normal’, or whatever.

“But if someone else does it, it is different. They will maybe be man of the match.

“I think I’m judged differently, but it’s good. It makes me improve as well, it is a challenge for me and I take it in a good way.

“I don’t take it in a bad way. I’ll try to score and make assists and that’s it. I still want to do my job in midfield.

“If I can help the team in attack and defence and make a difference I will do it. If I can score and assist it is even better.”
