Revealed: What Mo Salah Said To Aymeric Laporte At Half Time At Anfield
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah made the headlines for his role in Liverpool’s 3-0 Champions League win over Manchester City at Anfield on Wednesday night, but fans noticed something rather funny about him at half time.
The eagerly anticipated all English quarter final affair did not go as many expected, with the Reds overpowering City, who are expected to win the Premier League title this weekend, and appearing to put one foot in the last four of the competition.
Mo Salah just uttered “I’m sorry” to Aymeric Laporte as they went off for half-time. I’m sure intention wasn’t as such but that’s as savage as it gets. Liverpool have made City feel sorry in that half.— Deepan (@dfordeeps) April 4, 2018
Goals from Salah, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Sadio Mane, all in the first half, secured the win at Anfield, but what happened at the break between Salah and Aymeric Laporte caught the eye.
The Egyptian appeared to say “I’m sorry” to the young defender, something he also recently said to Watford goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis after the 5-0 win at Anfield a few weeks ago.
Surely Liverpool are now favourites to progress, with Salah continuing to show just how good he is this season.
