Real Madrid willing to partake in swap deal for Manchester City star
Real Madrid will offer midfielder Isco to Manchester City in a bid to lure Sergio Agüero to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, per the Daily Express.
The Argentine’s long-term future at City is uncertain after reports he does not see eye to eye with boss Pep Guardiola, who is known to be big fan of Spain midfielder Isco.
Agüero spent most of January on the bench after the emergence of teenage sensation Gabriel Jesus, but a long-term foot injury has ruled him out for the season, with the 28-year-old recovering his place and best form recently.
He has been linked with Real for a long time, even before he joined City from their neighbours Atletico Madrid in 2011. Now could be their best chance of securing a deal.
Isco’s own future has been up in the air for a while. Since joining Los Blancos from Malaga in 2013, he has never been able to establish himself regularly, and his opportunities under Zinedine Zidane have barely increased.
Guardiola is making wholesale changes at the Etihad Stadium, and it is not certain Agüero will have a place there long-term, but City will be keen to get a good deal for their star man.
