Real Madrid in massive fight to clinch stellar £166m transfer before the window shuts
The summer transfer window is ending this week, leaving Real Madrid eager to land Kylian Mbappe.
The 18-year-old has been targeted by all the top European clubs after his superb season last year with Monaco, with Spanish giants leading the race to sign the striker most of the summer.
The rising star was a key player last season for Monaco, helping them win the French league and advance to the semi-finals of the Champions League. While the club were keen on keeping the striker, he announced he wanted to leave this summer to further his career.

While Mbappe was believed to make the move to La Liga, reports are linking him to French rivals Paris Saint Germain. Los Blancos are likely to fall short in their pursuit, as PSG are ready to seal another massive transfer.
The French giants already secured a world-record signing this month, obtaining Barcelona superstar Neymar for £198m. PSG are currently in talks with Monaco, however, no deal has yet been agreed. The Telegraph reported a £166.4m fee has been fixed for the winger, which will make him the second most expensive transfer.
While Monaco prefer to send the 18-year-old to Real Madrid, it appears a PSG deal will be confirmed in the coming days.
