Don Balon claims Florentino Perez placed the 21-year-old midfielder at the top of the transfer wish list and could splash £200m to secure the youngster.

The Spanish giants are set to include Mateo Kovacic in a deal which would bring Alli to the Bernabeu. Kovacic suffered an injury which will force him to sit out until November, and likely to be dropped by Zinedine Zidane.

Alli is a rising star in the Premier League and currently looking for new representation which suggests a move is likely by the end of the season. Although the midfielder is under contract until 2022, him cutting ties with Impact Sports Management means the top agents are eyeing the Spurs playmaker.

Reports suggest both Jorge Mendes, who works with Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola are interested in representing Alli. Los Blancos will continue to monitor who the young star chooses as his next agent, and work towards securing a move in the winter transfer window.

While Tottenham are unwilling to allow him to leave, it will be difficult to avoid the European giants who are ready to spend.
