Real Madrid line up MASSIVE bid for Manchester City's star player
Real Madrid are targeting a move for Manchester City star Sergio Aguero as they look to possibly replace Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Reports on Sunday claimed that the Bernabeu side are looking to add some world-class attacking quality into their squad and that could be a way of preparing for potential offers for Ronaldo and Benzema.
Aguero became Manchester City’s all-time leading goalscorer last month during a game against Napoli in the Champions League and that showed just how important he has been to the club but a report from Don Balon has revealed the club see his has responsible.
That is due to the impressive form of Gabriel Jesus in attack and despite Aguero’s goalscoring form, the club has shown that it has goals in every position other than up front.
Sergio Aguero was supposedly set to leave the club in the summer but that never come to fruition after a supposed falling out with new manager Pep Guardiola due to the signing of Gabriel Jesus and the Brazilian taking his spot in the team.
That prompted interest from Real Madrid and Aguero fueled the fire during many parts of the season but having regained his spot back, he decided to stay in Manchester and has reaped the rewards so far.
Now, his move could come in the next transfer window with real Madrid reportedly lining up a £60million bid for his service and Manchester City may well be tempted to take the money with Aguero now at the age of 29 and coming to the later of his peak years.
The same report claims that Pep Guardiola with sanction the deal if they can seal a deal for Alexis Sanchez to move from Arsenal.
Whether Aguero will grab his chance to return to Madrid is yet to be seen but Man City will make sure they will not be shortchanged.
