Real Madrid eyeing January raid for sensational PSG star
Zinedine Zidane is set to move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Julian Draxler in January according to reports.
Spanish outlet Don Balon suggests the Real Madrid boss is keen to sign the 24-year-old attacking midfielder.
Draxler joined PSG from Wolfsburg in January and likely to be on his way out as the French giants look to raise cash after their £198m world record signing of Neymar. Zidane is searching for more talent as the club defends the La Liga title.
Real Madrid have struggled this season, and in need of reinforcements in the midfield after the departure of Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez. Zidane is eyeing another versatile playmaker to strengthen the squad, as they currently sit seven points behind rivals Barcelona.
Draxler caught the eye of several top Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool, who were all linked with a move this summer. The German international scored four goals since joining PSG and has great potential.
While Draxler was expected to seal a move during the previous transfer window, he appears more likely to be a top target in the winter. Los Blancos certainly have the money and appeal as they prepare for big signings ahead.
