RB Leipzig Troll Tottenham After Timo Werner’s Switch To Chelsea Confirmed
Timo Werner’s move to Chelsea was confirmed on Thursday, and the German international will leave RB Leipzig for Stamford Bridge in July. The Bundesliga outfit used news as an opportunity to troll Tottenham fans, after Werner had scored against them to help knock them out of the Champions League earlier in the season.
This is a deal which has been expected for a few weeks now, but initially came out of the blue. The 24-year-old had been expected to head for the Premier League, but to join champions-elect Liverpool. Initial talks between the player and Jürgen Klopp led nowhere, and he will now head to West London to join up with Frank Lampard, who had already pounced for Ajax star Hakim Ziyech.

Excitement ahead of next season is rife among Chelsea fans, and they were pleased to see RB Leipzig’s takedown of their rivals. They posted a video of showing exactly why he will fit in with the Blues, because he can score against Spurs.
It led to some fans criticising Leipzig for being too friendly with a club that has signed their best player. Werner has scored 25 Bundesliga goals this season, though he is unlikely to add to his tally before formally making the move to England.
He will create competition for Tammy Abraham, who has scored 13 Premier League goals in his maiden season as main striker at the Bridge.
