Manchester City star Raheem Sterling has admitted there is a rather odd origin to his already strange running style – his mum!
Sterling, who is enjoying his most prolific goal scoring season this year with 19 overall and 14 in the Premier League, has earned some very high praise, not least from his manager Pep Guardiola.

But he certainly had an off day for City at Burnley on Saturday, with his contender for miss of the season in the second half providing the Clarets with the perfect opportunity to grab a 1-1 draw, which they duly took.
WHEN THE FUN STOPS, STOP!
The England international is not universally popular, though, and some people have pointed out his running style is a bit different. He has the perfect explanation of where it comes from.
“My mum went to my little brother’s sports day. She sent me a clip of her running – and I thought, ‘OK, that’s where I get it from’. I’d never seen her run before. So it’s my mum – don’t laugh!”
“I don’t think my running style is something I would like to pass on though,” Sterling said. “I will just take all of everyone else’s laughter on myself.”
