PSG begin talks with Wolfsburg over big money deal for Julian DraxlerPublished December 14, 2016
Paris Saint-Germain have opened talks with Wolfsburg over the potential signing of Julian Draxler. RMC Sport journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi reported that the French club have offered around €30 million for his signature but the Bundesliga side want at least €40 million. Before Arsenal fans despair, they’re not out of the race either. They’re also discussing a potential move for the playmaker.
Better yet, the Gunners have a possible trump card in Mesut Ozil. The Germany international has already tried to convince his compatriot to choose London after falling out with those in charge at Wolfsburg. After failing to improve in a way that he was satisfied with, Draxler handed in a transfer request in the summer – only one year after joining the Wolves.
PSG and Arsenal were after him then, too. Now, Draxler is ready for that big step up and Wolfsburg are ready to cash in on him. Having called the club a ‘springboard’ for his career, the insulted fans appealed for his banishment. He’s made only 12 appearances this season and, without a goal or assist to his name, the urge to leave is clearly affecting his form.
