The Premier League Table Post-Christmas Makes For Interesting Reading

The Premier League season is coming to a close with the majority of the different battles sewn up, but the table looks completely different since Christmas.

Manchester City failed to confirm themselves as champions last week, and it may only be a matter of time until they do, but looking at the table for 2018 and beyond, they are third, four points behind would be leaders Tottenham.

For Antonio Conte and Chelsea, the new year has not gone well with just three league wins, and that has shown as they sit ninth, one place above Newcastle United overall, but Rafa Benitez’s side’s form would have them chasing Europe in fifth place.

Many people’s picks in the relegation battle, West Brom, Southampton and Huddersfield, sit in the bottom three, with Stoke and Crystal Palace, who are also far from safe, hovering just above danger.
