Premier League star issues clear message to Man United and Chelsea
Manchester United have been handed a blow in their pursuit of Chelsea winger Willian, with the player making it clear how much he loves life in London.
Willian has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford, given his lacking playing time this season under Antonio Conte, and the fact he’s made it clear that his relationship with former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is as strong as ever, calling it ‘special’.
However, it seems that life in London is the one thing that attracts Willian to a club, and he gushed about the City, and the hopes that his children will eventually get passports as well.
Willian said: “Of course money matters, no one can survive without the money. But money is not everything. If I can get this British citizenship…
“I can start to do documents next year, you have to take a test to get that passport too. Surely this passport in the future can open doors. I can get my passport and I can get it for my family too.
“London is a city I fit in very well. Before I even lived here I already liked it. Always in my free time, when I did not play here I would come here. Now I’m going to be four years living here.
“It’s an incredible city, the family is also well-adjusted, so I’m super happy too. Even with the weather so grey, the city is amazing, wonderful.”
