Peter Crouch Tweets Perfect Response To Cristiano Ronaldo's Wonder Goal

The internet exploded with reactions to Cristiano Ronaldo’s stunning overhead kick against Juventus on Wednesday night, but Peter Crouch’s was undoubtedly the best.

Ronaldo netted a brace in Real Madrid’s 3-0 Champions League quarter final first leg win over Juve in Turin, taking his total in the competitions to 119. But his second in particular caught the attention, leaving Gianluigi Buffon dumfounded as the spectacular scissorkick arrowed past him.

Everyone had their say on what could be the greatest goal scored by the greatest ever goal scorer, but Crouch made everyone laugh after alluding to a goal he scored in the competition for Liverpool over a decade ago.

Marcelo added a third for Los Blancos in a repeat of last year’s final, but this occasion ended up as one-sided as that one, and there doesn’t appear much riding on the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu next week.
