Paul Pogba has backed Alexis Sanchez to hit form with Manchester United after a difficult start to life at the club.
The Chilean signed for Jose Mourinho’s United in a deal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan go in the other direction.
It was expected that Sanchez would show the quality that he did at the Emirates with Arsenal but that has been far from the case.
Instead, he has struggled to find the desired form and it’s been very much the case this season.
Though, teammate Paul Pogba has now backed him to succeed at Old Trafford due to his work rate.
“What you have to know about Alexis is that he is a hard worker,” he explained, as quoted by the Daily Mirror.
“He trains very well, he always tries to help the team, talks with the team and everything.
“He will get used to it. When you play a long time with another team and you play different football in that other team, you have some kind of adaptation that you have to have.
“It’s not that he is playing bad. We know that Alexis Sanchez can bring a lot and I’m sure he will.”
“But he’s not playing bad and he keeps being positive, you know, so that’s the good thing we have to think about.”
