James Milner could be set for a return to Leeds United, with the odds with the bookmakers never shorter than they are right now.
The former England international has been at Liverpool since leaving Manchester City on a free transfer in 2015. He has become something of a cult hero at Anfield, and he has carved out a vital role in Jürgen Klopp’s side.
But he has never hidden his love of his hometown club, whom he left after they were relegated in 2004, joining Sir Bobby Robson’s Newcastle the following summer. Spells at Aston Villa and then City, where he won two Premier League titles.

A return to Elland Road is now just 2/1 and he could be set to make it aged 32. Leeds are currently top of the Championship under Marcelo Bielsa and are looking good for promotion back to the top flight.
