Manchester United midfielder Samir Nasri, who is currently on loan with La Liga high flyers Sevilla, found himself involved in a PR disaster last night, as several damning posts were shared from his Twitter account.
The tweets in question hinted at his own infidelity with a woman from a vitamin therapy company. It all kicked off when Drip Doctors tweeted Nasri, thanking him for using their services and hoping to boost their following by showing users of Twitter the high profile people who they’ve worked with.
To say it backfired would be an understatement despite their social media presence backfiring significantly.
A response then came from Nasri’s account which the City player claims was hacked.
It gets better! Who needs Emmerdale or EastEnders?
Drip Doctors reacted by telling their followers Nasri had been hacked but, Nasri or whoever was using his account wasn’t giving in.
Deep down, their head of social media didn’t imagine something like this backfiring.
It even got to the stage that the girl in question from Drip Doctors was publicly shamed and, to make matters worse, described as a prostitute.
To put an end to all of last night’s drama, Nasri says his account was hacked and the tweets did not come from him but his girlfriend, who believes the former France international is cheating on her.
Nasri then apologised for such a public outburst. Twitter users had their popcorn ready as this will go down as huge embarrassment in the football world.
