Neymar banned for one match after Monaco booking activates PSG superstar’s suspended sentence following Marseille red card
Neymar has been hit with a one-match ban after picking up a yellow card against Monaco, and will miss Paris Saint-Germain’s clash with Lile on December 9.
The former Barcelona star was controversially sent off in PSG’s 2-2 draw with Marseille. Then, the French FA gave Neymar a two-match ban with the second suspended.
However, the booking picked up during the 2-1 win at Monaco activated the extra one-match ban.
But the suspension will only become active on December 5, so Neymar is eligible to play against Strasbourg this weekend.
The Brazilian was also allowed to play against Troyes during the week and scored the opener in a 2-1 win.
Luckily for PSG, the Ligue 1 giants have a number of world-class players that can take over from Neymar in his absence.
