He was their star man last season, and Mo Salah made Liverpool fans remember exactly why they loved him so much, as he scored the first goal of their season against West Ham United.
Liverpool are the side many people think can catch Manchester City this season, and after an excellent summer of spending by Jurgen Klopp and his men, the expectations are high, and Liverpool managed to deliver in their first game.
The front three ran riot and after scoring four goals, Liverpool found themselves at the top of the Premier League table, pipping Chelsea to the top spot on goal difference.
It was a huge game for Klopp’s men, and Mo Salah was the star of the show, with Sadio Mane and Naby Keita showing it won’t just be a one man band this season – and Twitter couldn’t stop talking about it.

Boss memory for that little lad who ran on and give Salah a hug today and I don’t think he will remember getting thrown out because he hugged his idol 🤗

A perspective of #Salah's goal for #Liverpool. Great opening pass into the space between defensive & midfield line, supported by committed runs at speed. Notice how Salah initially runs offside, to gain positional superiority over his marker = decisive. pic.twitter.com/bYpbtmQqSI

You’re all talking about Naby Keita & rightly so; he was magnificent today. But I’m more concerned about that lad who ran on & hugged Mo Salah – maddest thing I’ve seen at Anfield since Peter Crouch’s overhead kick against Galatasaray. What was he – and his parents – thinking?
